This individual would lead the EHS operations, compliance, and trainings to prevent occupational injuries, illnesses, or related emergencies due to exposure to hazardous materials or working conditions.<\/p>\n<p>Reports to: General Counsel and Vice President of Corporate Administration<\/p>\n<h3>Essential Duties<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Responsible for all topics related to occupational safety and environmental protection. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local EHS regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA, DOT).<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate emergency response planning and training on all EHS related activities and operations including fire &amp; HAZMAT safety, CPR, and first aid.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct site safety audits and weekly Gemba walks.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in maintaining environmental management: ISO 140001 site certification and routine audits where applicable.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct risk assessments, job hazard analyses, and incident investigations.<\/li>\n<li>Lead site safety committees and facilitate employee engagement in EHS initiatives.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor and report EHS performance metrics and drive corrective actions and continuous improvement.<\/li>\n<li>Manage environmental permits, waste disposal, air emissions, and water discharges.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, maintenance, HR, and corporate EHS.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare weekly and monthly reports on Corporate EHS systems.<\/li>\n<li>Develop, implement, and maintain all new and existing site EHS programs, policies, and procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Analyze incident reports, metrics, and injury cases in order to recommend changes that lead to a safer environment.<\/li>\n<li>Provide training to employees, contractors, and visitors.<\/li>\n<li>All other duties as assigned.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Requirements<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&rsquo;s or university degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field.<\/li>\n<li>5+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or similar environment<\/li>\n<li>Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other applicable regulations.<\/li>\n<li>Professional certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH, CHMM) preferred.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in EHS management systems and data reporting tools.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with global manufacturing companies preferred.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge in Microsoft&reg; Office.<\/li>\n<li>High attention to detail.<\/li>\n<li>Travel as required for training, support of project tasks, or other job-related needs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Contact<\/h3>\n<p>Basler Electric welcomes employment applications received directly from interested candidates. We are open to reviewing additional candidates with more or less experience and the pay range may differ if filled at a different level. Our pay ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location.
