Design, build, and evaluate equipment required for jobs and projects. Requires minimum supervision.<\/p>\n<p>Reports to: General Manager<\/p>\n<h3>Essential Duties<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Capable of analyzing circuits used in Basler devices and other manufacturers&rsquo; devices.<\/li>\n<li>Capable of designing circuits used in Basler devices.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate with the Field Service and Training Coordinator and the customer for scheduling of service trips.<\/li>\n<li>Write trip reports describing in detail the system and device failure and actions taken. Review with the design engineering group the system problem and the solution.<\/li>\n<li>Travel to customer site to oversee installations of equipment, to perform system start up or required maintenance, to provide instructions for customer maintenance, or to repair equipment.<\/li>\n<li>Design, build, and test breadboard units required for jobs or projects with minimal supervision.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct tests requiring selection and adaptation of test equipment and modification of test procedures. Release ATPs and ATRs.<\/li>\n<li>Evaluate reports on component and equipment failures, and recommend solutions.<\/li>\n<li>Represent Basler Electric while at customer facility. Will typically be the only technical person on the site.<\/li>\n<li>Assist Sales in the determination of cost responsibility.<\/li>\n<li>Provide technical support while at Basler&rsquo;s facilities.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in writing and help refine instruction and service manuals.<\/li>\n<li>Write other project reports as assigned.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate required drawings, sketches, or other artwork with appropriate personnel.<\/li>\n<li>Perform other duties as assigned.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Requirements<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Extensive travel (approximately 70%).<\/li>\n<li>Travel will be worldwide with little advance notice.<\/li>\n<li>BSEE or Associate Degree with electrical field experience.<\/li>\n<li>Two (2) years&rsquo; experience in design or field service engineering is desired.<\/li>\n<li>Above average written and verbal communication skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Contact<\/h3>\n<p>Basler Electric welcomes employment applications received directly from interested candidates. We are open to reviewing additional candidates with more or less experience and the pay range may differ if filled at a different level. Our pay ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location.
